Installed High Sierra but Mac still opens Yosemite?
I installed High Sierra but my iMac still opens Yosemite. How can I fix it?
iMac 27″, OS X 10.11
Do you have more than one Partition or drive?
Try installing this in Safe Mode, but not using Firefox as it’ll mess things up…

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup).
Seems to fix about 90% of the problems.
