Error connecting to the apple id server

I am unable to log into itunes, the app store or iCloud. The last OS I have is Catalina 10.15.7. Unable to update to the latest OS because of this error. Every time I try to log into itunes/app store/iCloud I get the same error message, " There was an error connecting to the Apple ID Server". I checked and there are no issues with the apple server. Date, time of day and geographical location are correct. Unable to connect even in safe mode. I do not have a VPN. There are no internet issues in my area. I can access itunes/app store/iCloud via wifi on my iphone and ipad. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue with my iMac?

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities A50d,

We understand you're getting an error when trying to update your Mac, or access services connected to your Apple ID, despite not having any issues with the same features on your iPhone and iPad.

You've taken some great steps so far, the following page offers a few additional steps that may lead to a solution: If an error occurred while updating or installing macOS

We hope this helps!
