iTunes will not play movies I have purchased and downloaded

When trying to play movies I have purchased I get a black or multi colour fractured screen. Once the movie (eventually) starts, if it does, I am not able to have any control over iTunes or anything it is playing. I have to force the app to close to gain control (via Task Manager).

When first starting, iTunes told me that movies I have downloaded were not authorised for my PC, and I had to authorise each one individually.

iTunes and Windows updates have been done (all up to date).

I have also uninstalled Tunes and deleted movies, reinstalled and downloaded. Still will not play correctly. The movie starts then the screen goes funny or the movie stalls (on a black screen).

I now get an error message telling me the movie I select can not be played in HD. I have a new HP Envy 14 Laptop, which has the latest display technology. All updates are in place, for Windows and iTunes.

Appreciate any assistance.

Problem still exists, despite updating ALL drivers, removing and reinstalling itunes and all movies. I have spent time with HP and Microsoft support teams and the problem sits squarely with Apple and itunes.

Wouldhelp if Apple got involved !!!!! Two calls to their Help Centre were useless, only interested in fobbing me off to the Laptop manufacturer and Windows/Microsoft (who had already invested lots of time assisting me).
