i have two separate apple id's. when i bought my ipad three years ago and tried to create my apple Id account, i was told i couldn’t use the same email as the one i registered with. this resulted in me having two separate emails and passwords for Apple id . one for content and icloud and another for Purchase and media. all i want is one apple id and password. how do i do this?

I suggest you keep the iCloud account as the ID you use. For the other ID, just stop using it. You can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
