iPhone 13max pro screenshots washed out

I just upgraded from a XSmax to a 13 Pro max. I took some video at 4K 60 frames and snapped some screenshots using the ios feature… the results were subpar, washed out images. They were nowhere near the quality of the original video. I also used an app that I’ve had, and used with success for years called “Snap Still”, and the snaps utilizing the app were not the same quality as the original video, they were under exposed, rather than like the over exposed iOS snap shots.

This was never the case with my XSmax. Does anyone have a clue as to what’s causing this? It’s unfortunate and counter intuitive to upgrading to a newer more expensive phone.

Any help, or suggestion is much appreciated.
