AA.com inflight videos

Just updated to IOS15 on my iPad. AA.Com inflight entertainment no longer plays videos through Safari. It goes through the commercials and then shows the video screen and sits there (not wanting to play). The video is there, because I can use my finger to slide the “time” bar of the video and see preview of where I am in the movie, but can’t get it to actually play. Also, I’ve tried mobile browser setting as well as desktop browser settings.

Help please, these flights are getting long…

We understand that while using Safari, you're unable to see videos but you can see that the webpage has loaded.

Check out the steps you can take to help isolate this behavior further outlined here: If Safari displays a blank page or quits on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I have had the same issue. Tried all the usual solutions, restart and close out. This is definitely an issue with the recent software upgrade. Please let us know when you resolve.

Thanks for the reply. This did not help. To be clear, I’m on the AA.com inflight entertainment website from the plane. When I try to watch a movie selection from there, it plays the adds (videos), but won’t play the movie itself. I’ve checked with a passenger next to me who was able to play movies from the same site using an ipad with IOS 14. Something happened in the IOS15 update that messed up the video playback.

Looks like we are at the finger pointing phase of the conversation. Have reached out to AA.com and was advised that it is an Apple issue give. That they have no other complaints from Apple users.

not sure what Apple did in the update but I’m not pleased.

I am having the same issues, it worked fine before the IOS15 update. AA says it’s an Apple issue, please resolve

Same issue. Worked fine with iOS 14. After the update can no longer watch videos on aa-inflight
