Default date for reminders

When I add a reminder and want to add a date, the date is defaulting to a January , 2025 date!! Why isn’t it defaulting to the current date and how do I fix it?

iPhone XR, iOS 14

I can't save a date in Reminders The date I enter by clicking on the calendar just defaults to today. I've tried repeatedly and finally used Forced Shutdown as sometimes a message is sent to Apple about the glitch but that didn't happen.

Reminders app does not show suggested date on iPhone On MacOS Big Sur 11.6, if you type a date in the composing field in Reminders app, the app will recognize the date and suggest to remind you whatever you type on the date you put. On ios 15.0, the date will turn blue but the Reminders app won't suggest to remind you unless you manually click the info icon and set a date. Please see images attached. I noticed this problem before updating to ios 15 and it's definitely been quite some time. Any one else has the same issue and knows how to fix it? Basically I'm trying to figure out why the "suggested date" is missing on my iPhone's Reminders app. Thanks

iCloud reminders for a date and time Hello, Is it possible to add a reminder for a specific date and time via web browser (icloud.com)? In the past, it was doable, by editing the details. Now I can't seem to find any options both for the new and the already existing reminder. Even if I set date and time for a specific reminder on my iPhone, those infos will show on the web browser version, but I am not able to edit them... Thank you in advance

I tried the suggestion! My time: date setting in general was already automatic. I clicked it off and then back on, turned off the reminder app and then restarted my phone. It is using the current date as the default date. However I also had upgraded to 15 so that might have also fixed it. Thank you for the quick response!!!

It sounds like the steps and upgrading to iOS 15 has resolved this for you in the Reminders app. Which is great news!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, the Reminders app defaults the date to January 2025. We'll do our best to assist.

What's your current Date & Time set to (Automatic) in Settings > General > Date & Time? Does it change if you set it to Automatic?

Try to close the Reminders app: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

Then Restart your iPhone

Should it persist, then it might be best to contact Apple directly: Get Support
