Webcam of MacBook Air M1 blurry and FaceTime video not sharp (very low resolution)

webcam of MacBook Air m1 is not sharp, in very low resolution and blurry......anyone with the same kinda problem? And any solutions pl?

FaceTime Camera I just got a MackBook Pro 13-inch 2020 M1 barely 2 weeks ago and I noticed that the FaceTime Camera is blurry and grainy - no matter what app I use it with (Phone Booth, FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, you name it). I have seen similar issues reported with current MackBook Air machines but nothing about the model I have. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any advice to fix it?

Brand new M1 13” MacBook Air Webcam Flickering Hi, I know there are other threads to do with the Pro webcam flickering and I have the same problem today with my new Macbook Air. Using Zoom and Facetime the webcam image is flickering badly. I am in Ireland and have just updated tp MacOS Big Sur 11.2 and the problem has not been fixed. What can be done as there seems to be a lot of users with this problem?

FaceTime webcam shows black in Photo Booth only FaceTime webcam shows black in Photo Booth only iMac Pro,Big Sur 11.6.1 FaceTime webcam works in Quicktime, FaceTime and third party apps but show black in Photo Booth. FaceTime light turns green but image is black. Also tested with external Logitech C920 and it too lights but image is black in Photo Booth. They work in all other Apple and third party apps so this issue is specific to Photo Booth. In Terminal I tried sudo killall VDCAssistant and sudo killall AppleCameraAssistant which did not fix the issue. Also deleted com.apple.PhotoBooth.plist and com.apple.PhotoBooth.cache which did not fix the issue Not sure what else to check. Just to be clear FaceTime webcam (and Logitech C920) works in other Apple apps including Quicktime and FaceTime and various third party apps, just NOT Photo Booth. Any suggestions?

It looks like you're having issues with the camera when on FaceTime and have reviewed the article below.

If FaceTime isn't working on your Mac

If that's correct, and you're in a well lit area, you may want to reach out to Apple directly.
