Full signal 4G but no actual data/network

Whenever I enter the basement carpark of my apartment which does not have any signal, and come out of the basement to get full bars on 4G, the data/network somehow doesn’t actually work.

My iphone still wouldn’t have any data/network despite turning on and off mobile data, or turning on and off airplane mode many times repeatedly.

This would be the case throughout and the only way to fix this is to actually power off my phone altogether and power it back on again.


It happens way too often and I am just curious as to why? What is the actual reason behind this?

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I have done before all of the steps as found in the link you provided. The thing is I have to constantly do those steps as I enter the basement carpark almost everyday. My iPhone is up to date with the latest software and I have another device that uses the same carrier service and it never requires a restart. I have never dropped this phone and I have strong bulky protective casing just to be safe. This phone is only 3 yrs old.

This issue only started happening a few months back.
