Red bubble notification missing but want Do Not Disturb

Running iOS 14.7.1

For my business, I need my phone to be in Do Not Disturb mode. But then red bubble for voice messages is missing.

How can I get back to having both?

thanks!

Hi Chiot777!

Thanks for clarifying. So if we understand correctly, you have "Announce Calls" enabled in Settings > Phone, and when you have this feature enabled along with Do Not Disturb, you're not seeing red badge notifications for the Phone app. Is that correct?

If so, please try disabling "Announce Calls" in your Settings and test to see if the red badge notifications return.

Cheers!

The issue is with phone voice messages; not the Message app.

There is no red bubble to indicate that a voice message has been left (via a phone call). I only discover voicemail when I specifically hit the phone icon and open Voicemail.

this started when incoming calls suddenly were being announced, reading out the number of the incoming call. I turned on Do Not Disturb to stop the noise. Ever since all red bubbles have stopped.

Because my phone needs to be silent while I work, I use the red bubbles to see a message or voicemail is pending.
