I am the organizer of a family subscription on Apple Music and having added five members to my family, but I can not add a sixth. What's the problem?
Family sharing is limited to 6 members (the organizer plus five family members). There is currently no workaround for this.
Why not? Because that’s the rules/limits set on family sharing accounts.
if I had to hazard a guess, it probably stems from license negotiations with the labels. When originally presented with the idea that one paid account could be shared with unlimited other accounts they probably had a fit because they could see their revenues evaporating.
Even to this day you can easily see how some number of people would abuse the privilege by sharing one account amongst friends, classmates, etc..
As a compromise I’m guessing the record labels and Apple came to agreement that 6 was enough (main + 5 family members), and here we are.
Why I can’t add the sixth member?
