I can’t override the msg: “Settings wants to use “Google.com” to sign in” while trying to retrieve my mail!?

I’m trying to enter my passwords in Mail/settings accounts on my new IPhone 12 Pro Max to retrieve my mail from the cloud, but I keep getting the message “Settings” Wants to use “google.com” to sign in.! I do Not want to sign into google.com (thus creating an account/aka; signing me into google.com). Every single time I choose ‘cancel’ instead of ‘continue’ , the message goes away and reappears. Effectively rendering me unable to sign into my existing mail accounts! FYI I’ve confirmed that I’m not currently signed into google.com! Anyone have the answer or suggestions? Please help me!! Thx

Hi 123plzhelpme,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you can't access your email on your new iPhone 12 Pro Max and we found some Apple Support resources that can help.

To learn how to set up your email account, follow these steps: Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you can’t set up your email account or if you’re having problems receiving emails, follow these steps: If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the Mail app on your iPhone is still not working as expected, follow these steps: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

Best regards.
