So since a few days ago I apparently have to login into my iTunes account in order to updates (free) apps on the Apple Store. It mentions that I can also use my Apple ID password, but doesn't work at all.

Settings, Your name, Payment and shipping .
Check you have a payment card that is up to date and valid in the country of the phone.
Uninstall any VPN.

You put in your AppleID (the one you see in Settings, your name, under your icon) and then enter the password or the phone passcode when prompted

All my info is up to date and valid in my country. I never used any kind of VPN's either. Yet this issue still occurs every time I try to update my apps.
