I changed my password in Google. My iOS 14.8 prompted me to change my password in settings. Upon trying to do so, my only option was to sign in through Google, which took me straight to the Google mail site and would not allow me to update the password on my iPhone. I deleted my Gmail account and went to reinstall it. Now I cannot reinstall it and all of my contacts are gone. Help?

Since the contacts went missing after removing the Gmail account, it sounds like your contacts are associated to your Gmail account. Look here:

What happens when you tap Continue? Have you tried entering the account manually? Look here under the "How to set up your email account manually" section:
