3. Tap Transit Card to add a new transit card or tap Previous Card to add a transit card you previously added to the Wallet app.

Add a transit card to Apple Wallet

Not all US transit cards available on old models or OS.

• SmarTrip from Washington DC.: need an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 13.6 or later, or Apple Watch Series 3 or later with watchOS 6.2.8 or later.
• Clipper from the Bay Area: need an iPhone 8 or later running the latest version of iOS, or an Apple Watch Series 3 or later running the latest version of watchOS.
• TAP from Los Angels: need an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 13.6 or later, or Apple Watch Series 3 or later with watchOS 6.2.8 or later.

I have the same issue. My region is already set to United States. But I only see transit card options from China, just like the image shown by arl7317. I am on the latest ios, and restarted my phone.

This explanation would satisfy me if each time I tried to load a transit card I was shown a list of every card available, and only China-based cards were the ones supporting older hardware. But is that right? There is a long list of cards available (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207958), and it seems unlikely no other card supports older hardware. And Apple's support pages suggest that a user who seeks to add a card will be shown a list of regionally available cards, not every card globally.

Please check the Region set on your device.

I have the same problem. My region is set to US in all possible settings and it only shows me China options, same as your screenshot. This seems like a bug, please fix asap! This is going to really screw up my commute.

I'm having this same issue. Following the correct procedure, region settings are correctly set to US on my AppleID, but my only transit card options are Chinese and search function can't find WMATA/Smartrip. What is going on?

It doesn't matter what I set my Region to. If I set my region to United Kingdom, I still see the Chinese transit card choices.

It would be helpful if a notification message were provided on older model iPhones that Wallet integration is not supported. I have just suggested this to the devs of the TAP - Los Angeles app.

I have the same problem. My phone has never been to Asia.

It is so not apple wise instead of note "we are not supporting...." playing list of China transit cards.

That is very unfraindly for us- Americans.
