Airpods not connecting since ios 15.01. update

i was experiencing the same issue. the 2 phones and watch that were recently updating stopped working with my air pods pros. it was the not in range error.

they still worked perfectly with my un-updated laptop.

the fix for me was to Forget The Device and repair as detailed by Apple Support

Do you happen to have another device to test pairing these AirPods with? If so, see if the issue persists there.

Do you see “Connection Failed”, when you try to connect them? If so and you can't pair them with any device, then you'd want to bring in the AirPods for an inspection: AirPods Service and Repair

Select your region and search nearby for locations: Find Locations

Due to the current conditions around the world, some stores may have limited hours or appointment times. They also may require specific things to visit them (Such as, scheduling an appointment, wearing a mask, calling to check-in, etc.).
