My Mac will show apple and progress bar but won’t progress from rhere

Did this problem begin after attempting a system upgrade or update?

Can you boot into Safe Mode? If that's successful try rebooting normally.

If not try booting into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstall the system.

Did this happen just out of the blue or after a system update/upgrade attempt?

What Mac model and year do your have?

Yes, apple progress bar did not progress after it reached middle of the bar, but sometimes, it so occurs that another bar appears with which gets stuck with very little progress.

This occured after an attempt to auto upgrade the software

My laptop is MacBook Air of perhaps 2015

Model Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.4 , Start up disk Mackintosh HD Mac Book Air Early 2015
