Messages only syncing from yesterday?

My Macbook Pro (2016) has recently stopped syncing with my iPhone SE (2020) for iMessage. I have tried signing out and signing back in on both devices, restarting devices, force syncing, etc. When I force sync, the only messages that show up are all the messages I sent/received from the day before, nothing for today. I can send messages no problem, but I can't receive any on my laptop. Help?
