genius is something new to Apple Music? or was it always there?

How can I create a genius playlist in Apple Music? I have been using Apple Music for around 3 months now. I can see that you can create a new Genius playlist from File>New>Genius Playlist but the option is greyed out for me. Do I need to use Apple Music for longer to unlock the option?

okay... why does it not show the genius icon all of a sudden???
