My iPhone 13 Pro will not connect to WiFi

It shows it’s connected in settings, but doesn’t display the wifi symbol at the top of my screen, and when I try to open certain apps, it says I’m not connected to wifi. I’ve tried EVERYTHING on the troubleshooting list!

Help!

I had this exact problem - both on my Iphone 8 and my new Iphone 13.

It was one of the reasons I upgraded my phone - because I thought the 8 was messed up.

Looks like the VPN settings from my 8 were transferred to my IPHone 13.

Found that VPN's were enabled on my IPhone 13.

Went to Settings, General, VPN & Device Management

Then selected each VPN and deleted it.

That instantly allowed connection to my Wi-Fi - which hadn't worked for one week.

I solved this issue on my phone! Let me know if it works for you as well. From what I can tell on my end, the issue stems from the fact I had a VPN profile installed on my last phone and that caused this Wi-Fi problem upon restoring my new phone from the old one’s back up.

The fix was simple, I just re-downloaded the Nord app (the VPN I used) and re-installed it’s VPN profile. Instant fix!

Turning off VPN didn’t work for me either so I deleted my Norton apps and my wifi is working now. But it’s a shame that I can’t use my Norton or Norton VPN anymore.

Well, you can wait for Norton to update to be compatible, or you can do the smart thing and stop using VPN→Don't use VPN services. · GitHub

You don’t need it with iOS 15.1 or later; you now have Apple’s Private Relay, which is much more secure that any commercial VPN→About iCloud Private Relay - Apple Support

VPNs are a current very popular myth. The create all sorts of problems, and solve NO problems. It is a mystery to me why anyone uses them, other than to access an internal business or school network, or to protect an activist in a country with a repressive government. And even for them there are better solutions, such as TOR, or Apple’s new Private Relay feature in iOS 15.2.
