I am experiencing the same problem. Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, TubiTV - all have problems playing videos. The apps will load, I am able to browse movies, but once I attempt to play the video it will error/fail to play. I have reset network settings, reset Netflix, turned phone off and back on, tried it on data, tried it on WiFi. Nothing helps. I am on an iPhone 13 (fully updated) using Verizon (not that I believe that matters as it doesn’t work on wifi either). The only video streaming service that seems to still work is YouTube and YouTube Kids. Hopefully this gets figured out and fixed quickly - otherwise I am paying money for video services I cannot use.

I contact Apple yesterday and today after 1h of debugging , screen shearing and testing , the only last think to do is to test recovery mode on iPhone connected to pc/Mac and force update to latest iOS , I will be able to do in not sooner then 8h from now , so if anyone could test it before me , go ahead please

that’s the step by step video given by apple to do it.

Call Apple Support. I had already done all the usual troubleshooting steps (switched WiFi networks, switched off WiFi and tried streaming via cellular data, reboot iPhone, delete app/reboot iPhone/reinstall app) so they escalated me to a senior tech advisor who submitted the trouble ticket to Engineering.

I also contacted Netflix and Disney+ support to report the issue.

I had the exact same issue. Updated to 15.0.2, re-installed all the streaming apps, but the problem won't go away. Eventually I had to bite the bullet and just do a factory reset plus restore from iCloud backup. Now the issue is gone, and it actually also fixed a bunch of other issues I was having, like Unlock with Apple Watch not working. I guess that is the only option available right now, or wait for a possible 15.0.3 patch.

Update to this.

iPhone plays regular videos on youtube and youtube kids, but it will not play actual movies on youtube. I also tried to download a show to the netflix app on my phone, it downloaded but still would not play it. So whatever the problem is, it seems to be local and not have anything to do with wifi/data. It also only effects tv shows and movies, it doesn’t seem to effect basic videos.

I am going to do a factory reset of my iPhone. I only worry that doing this is a temporary fix and the next update will do the same thing.

Same problem. Just downloaded 15.10 update today and nothing has been fixed. Still can’t stream anything on my 13 Pro Max! I’ve called Apple and even went into the store. No help. Only suggestion is to erase everything and reload it again. That’s just a complete guess on their part. Useless and not apple has done nothing to remedy this streaming problem for all of us.
