By simply having your credentials and/or access to one of your devices.

Modify your Credentials:

Being a scam email, consider modifying them, ASAP, starting with a new password.

• Modify: your login credentials (using both a New eMail and a New Password) for Apple and each and all sites
• Associate: a different method of payment to your account
• Enable: Two-Factor Authentication for Apple ID PayPal and for all other accounts that have such an applicable option

Knowing your Apple ID password, or having access to your device with knowledge of your passcode.

What’s your specific concern here, or the symptoms or errors that have been encountered?

If there’s the possibility that your Apple ID password is known by others, change it.

And enable two-factor authentication as a safety messure, if that’s not already enabled.
