iphone 13 images from camera (size)

Where is my 12 mb image from my iphone 13? When I look in Iphotos it is 2.5 mb - sometimes a lot less. I want the highest resolution photos coming out of this iphone 13 (not pro) - Where do I get that? I don't want 2 or 3mb images from a $1500 phone. ( Do I need to change a setting?) Shot the photo below in 'most compatible' Still not 13mb
