Dual screens of different size - mouse movement problems

I have an M1 MacBook Air. In my office, I have it connected to a 32" LG screen which I use as a second display (so not mirrored). The 32" external display has a lot more real estate. I understand how to align the 2 screens. However, because the 32" LG is so much larger, I run into issues where I can't move the mouse from the larger screen to the smaller screen. For example (see image below), if I align the bottom of both screens, then the top of the big screen has a dead zone where if I mouse to the right side of it, it doesn't move to the MacBook screen. Is there a way to fix this?

Move the screens so the Top aligns.

However, there is no way to make the two overlapping regions infinitely large. The area where they touch is where you can transition from one to the other.

I'm not looking to make them infinitely large. Just the same size... or at least the same relative size.

That’s the problem. They are no the same size, so you would have to make one infinitely large to match the other.

You would also run into a different problem you wouldn’t want when you overshoot the top, right corner of the large monitor, your cursor would jump down away from your target.
