Apple CarPlay disconnects when i try to play music. I have a iPhone 13 pro max running iOS 15.1 every time i connect i can scroll through Apple CarPlay but as soon as i hit play on a song from my car or my phone Apple CarPlay disconnects.

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to use your iPhone and car stereo via CarPlay as expected. First, go to Settings > Music > EQ and set this to Off. If you are still having issues after doing that, please see the steps in this Apple resource:

I have an iPhone XR. CarPlay was working after 15.0 but after updating to 15.1 it's no longer working on my 2021 Ranger (Sync 3). Already did the phone Reset, removed/resynced phone to my vehicle but that does nothing. My Ranger no longer shows up in the General/Carplay settings on the phone. The phone can still connect & charge via USB and I'm able to play music but Carplay is DEAD.
For some reason, the settings for Sync 3 on my Ford Ranger were changed for Carplay when I connected the iPhone today. the Carplay setting in the Sync menu was OFF. I did not touch the settings and Sync does not auto update. I update Sync via the USB port. Carplay is working now.
