Apple TV on Samsung (or Sky Q)

Hello. I have reasonably new Samsung smart TV, it is one of the few that is not compatible with the Apple TV app. I have Sky Q and have Netflix and Amazon Video on there although I pay for that with my Amazon Prime account. I have two questions. Firstly, there have been rumours since the early part of the year that the Apple TV app will be going onto the Sky platform at some point. Does anyone have any idea when? Secondly, if not on Sky, what is the best and cheapest way to watch Apple TV on my incompatible Samsung TV?
