Help

I got an apple watch series 1 from a family member and i am unable to get past the "activation lock" screen as it says it is still on her account and it has been removed from all her accounts. Please help

Apple Watch activation lock after update My partner has an Apple Watch series 3 which I purchased her from new! All worked fine until she did a recent software update and now it has an activation lock linked to an account that neither of us know. Any ideas how to fix this? I’ve tried contacting the store purchased from and Apple support and I’ve had no luck getting this fixed, any help or advice greatly appreciated. thanks

The person that you got this watch from needs to follow all the steps in this link;

Remove the Activation Lock so that the next person can use it.

If they can't or won't then get your money back or recycle the watch and put it down to experience.
