GIFs syncing to iPhone as JPEG

why are GIFs from the photos app on mac syncing to iPhone as JPEGs? and can it be fixed?

some of these GIFs were originally on the iphone and worked fine, then when transferred to mac and then back to iPhone they became jpegs

No videos in the photos app on Mac Where do I find the videos from my phone on my photo stream? They are on my iPhone 7, and all the photos got backed up in the past and have been saved to my MacBook. However, there is no drop down menu for videos and I can't find them anywhere. Videos taken on iPhone 12 Mini not showing up in photos on photos on Macbook Air 2017 Addition Hi. I wondered if there was anyone that could tell me what I could do to make my videos I take on my iPhone 12 Mini to show up on the photo app on my Macbook Air 2017 Version? I have read online that you have to sign out of I cloud and than sign back in. I rather not do that on my iPhone or Macbook Air as that just messes everything up and takes me forever to get everything to re-sync. So anyone know anything else I can do to get it to work. The pictures I take on my iPhone 12 Mini show up on my Macbook Air 2017 edition with out a problem. I would like my videos i shoot as well as I like to edit some videos and put them up on my YouTube page. Any advice would be helpful Thanks

I would not know.

Here I save gif to iCloud (on the Mac) and use on iPhone -> Apple Files app.

When I open the app I can see what is stored in iCloud and on the iPhone.

A gif stored in iCloud, under 'stored in iCloud', remains a gif.

Looking at "saved on iPhone" nothing appears, only a white blank screen . . .
