Dictionaries missing even basic words

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you need help with your iPhone keyboard settings for another language. There are a few settings to check. First, make sure the correct language keyboards are showing listed:

• Tap on Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards
• If you do not see the correct language keyboard you need tap Add New Keyboard

Next, we'll see if that keyboard is also listed in the Dictionary settings for auto-correction and predictive text function.

• Tap on Settings > General > Dictionary
• Make sure all the keyboards in correct languages are checked to be used.

Restart your iPhone, then test typing again. We look forward to hearing how it goes.
