Music library won't transfer to iPhone 13 pro max

I just want to know WHY my music that exists in my Music library on my iphone 7 didn't transfer over to my iphone13 pro max? If the stupid system can transfer music I purchased that sits in my library why doesn't it transfer the music that I OWN that sits in the same place in my library. Why does this seem like some b.s. policy designed to make people buy their music all over again?

Correct, you cannot sync from an old device to a new one, that's never been possible. You sync music to your phone through iTunes or the Music App. Or, if you have purchased music, use iTunes Match or subscribe to Apple Music, your music will download from the cloud. I was having the same issues too transferring music from my iPhone 11 to iPhone 13 pro max. It turns out that you do need to purchase Apple music to sync to your library. Only after I subscribed did my music come up on my new phone. Per the updated Apple Music User Guide, sync library is now described as "This option appears if you’re signed in as a subscriber to Apple Music or iTunes Match." I had no problem syncing my music beforehand, so I believe this something specific to those upgrading to the 13.

I sort it out, I think, I have transfer my data using the apple way from one phone to the other, then once done I plug it to iTunes and it is working since this day… I did it from IPhone SE to my IPhone 13 mini, from IPhone 7S to iPhone 13 pro max and from IPhone 7 to IPhone 12, each time no issue after sync works again… the only things is that it is not intuitive at all, for that Apple need to work on it…

Ummmm .... if sync was working I don't think we'd be asking the question. The problem is: There is absolutely NO WAY to get your library to sync from your old device (in my case an iPhone 11) to my new device (iPhone 13 Pro). If it was as simple as following the instructions to sync, don't you think we'd have been bright enough to figure this out? Maybe drop the 'tude & realise that, yet again, Apple has monumentally screwed up yet another new product launch.

If you are trying to move music/music videos etc you purchased from the Apple Store to your PC then to your new iPhone 13 you will have to meet the system requirements first. In order to sync/backup/restore your iPhone using iTunes on your pc computer you will need to be running windows operating system 10 or higher. Then you will need to install the latest version of iTunes. Once you do this then you can sync/backup/restore to your iPhone 13. And only then will you be able to upload info from an older iPhone to your pc to your new iPhone 13.

Unfortunately I am still running windows 7. (I can't afford to upgrade my computer at this time). Before I tried to sync/backup my iPhone 6s I checked iTune for updates. It said I have the latest version installed. I have no problem syncing/backing up my iPhone 6s. When I try to do the same with the iPhone 13 I get an error message from iTunes telling me I need the latest version of iTunes. I tried to manually download the latest version of iTunes and install it on my computer. I got an error message saying I needed windows 10 or greater. Until I upgrade my system with the windows 10 or 11 and I cannot sync my iPhone 13.

So transferring my music this way is not an option until I can update my operating system and all my software (not all work with windows 10 or higher). All my music is sitting on my computer but I can't save it to the new iPhone 13.

And in order to have the option to sync, I must subscribe, right? Because I can’t get the option to sync toggle button without purchasing Apple Music.

So…..if I purchase Apple Music in order to download the music I own from actual CDs—songs that currently reside in Apple Music on my iPhone 7+, then what happens if I decline Apple Music after the trial period, will my personal music disappear?

Yep if only it works, my PC see my iphone 13 mini when plugged with the lead of my old Iphone SE (does not work with the lead provide with the phone which is inacceptable) but itunes does not see the phone... It is windows 11 but my SE plugged in and I have no problem, so I assume the issue is the phone and I got it only since Tuesday 18/01, we are 22/01 and I restore the phone twice already... it is a shame considering the price of the phone...
