Sky news on Apple TV

That message popped up when trying to use the Sky News app in the U.K. yesterday 8th November 2021. Same message on both brand new Apple TV4K and older Apple TV. Very annoying but discovered a workaround by chance.

Go to search (magnifying glass image) via top menu. Search for news and Live TV should pop up as an option. Scroll down and click to select. Live TV works.

Only problem is you have to do this every time. Obviously something weird technically but at least you can watch Sky News again until the issue is fixed.

Same fault here. I watch sky news daily but three or four days ago the app stopped working saying the same „unable to authorise“

I think it’s since the last update.

Same problem here, running latest update, any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. I get a black screen with the message "Sorry, there appears to be an issue."

I have emailed apps@sky.uk for help. I'll follow this thread and update if I get a reply.
