iPhone iMessage Low Quality Videos

Hi All!

My friend has recent moved to USA and I am based in the UK. When he sends me videos taken in 4K via iMessage, it appears very blurry to me and saves as a 720p video.

I tested this on my end by sending him a 4K video, and same issue for him. It appears blurry and saves as a 720p video.

I always thought iMessage sends the original file? I am using iOS 15.0.1 and ‘Low Image Mode’ is disabled.

Is it to do with location? Are there any other settings?

Sometimes iMessage reduced the picture quality and the size of the sended picture Hello, i need please help: sometime automatically is the quality and the size of an picture which i sended with imessage is reduced and i have not configured the power save mode and also not configured in the imessage setting user low quality screen mode. I have the actual ios on my iphone 8. i can not see if the picture which was sended by imessage was in a wellmor bad quality, the friends or my wife which i send the picture tell me that the picture are sometimes bad. please help me klaus
