iMessage profile photo blurry

Hi, I have an up-to-date iPhone 13 mini (iOS 15.5). When I update my photo in iMessage, it will begin at a clear photo, but at some point becomes blurry. When I update the photo, I usually update it “everywhere”, however, it only appears blurry in iMessage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

iMessage sending low quality images I have ensured the Low Quality Image Mode is turned off on my devices and have sent through iMessage on both wifi and network settings yet the images are still received blurry on the receiver end. I have a new iPhone and have enough storage on both phone and the iCloud. This issue was also happening on my old iPhone. Any suggestions on how to fix? I often send images as part of my job so it's quite annoying to have this ongoing issue.

Videos sent via iMessage are blurry When I share videos via iMessage they are blurry on receiver’s end and it happens both on wifi and cellular. Same video appears to be fine when viewed in photos app but the same video in the chat window of imessage appears blurry on sender’s end as well. Pleaset note low quality image mode is turned off and I am on iphone 11 with ios 16

Can’t view or save certain Live Photos on iMessage When receiving certain Live Photos on iMessage, I get the photo in the app, but when I hard press to preview or try to open the photo, a mostly blank screen comes up saying “Live Photo 3.9 MB”. I am able to forward the message and copy and paste it to another chat, but I am not able to save the photo to my camera roll. This does not happen with every photo and every contact in my phone. Very annoying. Any guidance would help. I’ve scoured Google and have found a handful of similar complaints but no reliable fix. Phone is fully updated. Thanks

Maybe you have low quality image mode turned on.

Settings > Message > Low Quality Image Mode [Disable]
