Activation lock

My dad has an iPad that is locked. His wife passed away and we do not know the Apple ID or password that was used to set the iPad up to remove this lock. We have an idea of 2 emails. We have tried every email and password we can think of

Activation Lock Problem Hi. My father passed away 2 months ago. He had an iPhone X. I wanted to reset his phone and use it myself, but it has activation lock. Family Member passed, bypass activation lock We recently found my deceased father's Ipad we thought didn't work anymore. And I tried to reset to factory settings but I believe I chose the wrong choice. And I cannot get passed and activation lock because I do not know his Apple-ID email its tied to for resetting. My Mother doesn't remember when it was bought and I don't think we have receipts or anything as he bought this many many years ago. Does anyone have any ideas how we can get help? Or would the best bet be going to an apple store possibly.
