Deactivate Hide My Email in autofill

Hi, I recently updated to iOS 15, and now when I am filling in a form on Safari, my email address in autofill is replaced by “Hide My Email” unless I actually start typing it in. This is annoying, as I do not want to use Hide My Email most of the time. How can I turn this off?

I just had the same issue and contacted customer service we eventually figured it out after 30 minutes. Open settings then go to Safari then go to auto fill then turn the toggle switch on for use my info. Then you will now have the option to auto fill your email again or hide my email voilà!

I found a very annoying way that seems to have fixed it because this was driving me mad. I couldn’t get the “hide my email” to go away, but I was also having my work email show up on the left instead of my gmail which is the one I almost always use. I went into my contact and rearranged (deleted and readded) my emails so that my gmail would be first and my work email would come second. That’s made my gmail show up on the left hand side next to the hide my email. I hope this works for you!

This suggestion is the only one that has worked. Simply go into your contacts and add your email address to your contacts. That will reset the hide my email.

I didn’t even realize that my email wasn’t in my contacts anymore? That must be part of this stupid “hide my email”. Apparently Apple, just removes your personal information (your email). Add your email address to your (personal contact).

That should resolve the problem.

I just got off the phone with Apple. We used 4 websites as examples as I shared my screen to explain the issue. 2 out of 4 websites did not populate my email, instead they populated Hide My Email Option. Apple was unable to fix my issue, and we thought maybe Hide My Email is pulling from the form field in the way the developer tagged it. BUT, even so, if Apple is smart enough to know to show Hide My Email, it now's the form field is an email type, so should show the email address of my choosing. LASTLY, I'm going to try creating and then disabling an actual Hide My Email account to see if that works, but definitely not the best solution. I don't think they tested this feature enough.
