Apple watch locks and pause my exercise after approx 10-11 seconds

Just after overnight this problem occurred. So I have switched off the lock since it became really annoying have to put the code each time I am accessing my apple watch while I am already wearing it. This means also no apple pay/wallet on my wrist for now.

Also when sporting the watch just pauses the exercise after the 10-11 seconds which is also really annoying, I can now not track my pulse and burned calories.

Also the screen turn black each time when not tilting my arm, while setting is on always on.

I thought first it was because of not having the latest version, but after updating it is still the same thing!

So I found many others with the same problem. This is my second apple watch, no 6 and I am wearing it same as always, just now this is happening and i have it most for my sports.

Please help or tell me this is a bug which will be resolved soon. This is disappointing. I am not used to be disappointed with apple products.

I had this exact issue! One of the repair techs over the phone suggested I turn off "wrist detection" and then turn it back on. It may not be a permanent fix, but this makes me think its a software issue. I'd definitely keep my eyes open for watch and phone updates!

Go to the watch app on the phone and tap on workout,turn off running autopause and end workout reminder.

Or on the watch in settings/workout and turn them off there.

Or;

When you start your workout slide right on the screen and tap on lock,then when you finish the workout turn the digital crown in one continuous movement to turn the lock off then slide right again and tap on end.

Tighten the watch band a touch.

Don't wear the watch on top of any tattoos.

Is your sleeve catching on the side buttons or on the screen itself?
