Mail delete permanently and immediately

Apple Mail 14.0 (3654.120.0.1.13) on macOS 11.6.

How do I permanently and immediately delete messages which I have already moved to one of my Trashes, please?

I know that there are various options from contextual menus.

But I want to be able to select all the junk/spam I've put in the trash (both On My Mac and for my IMAP accounts) and get rid of them immediately, leaving the rest of the Trash available… just in case.

I have tagged those junk items with MailSuite.

Thanks in advance :-)

So if something is already in the Trash - or in my case multiple, already-tagged (by SmallCubed) messages - I can select them and… what, right/CTRL-click; hit 'Delete'; a menu command?

I remember previously in Mail there was a kind of hierarchy of deletion: one command simply moved them to a 'Deleted' folder (in an IMAP account), then there's a Trash command, then the ability to get them off the system altogether.

I guess I'm now unclear about that hierarchy of demoting them down to where they can be permanently zapped never to darken my doors ever again!

Thanks!

Thanks, @leroydouglas; Yes.

That's certainly what I've read and for safety's sake I have everything there set to 30 days, per the grab you kindly posted.

What I want to be able to do, though, is immediately and permanently delete only certain, specific messages (**** spam!) already in the trash - on demand, as it were.

Yes—

You can go to your Trash folder a delete a specific mail there.
