1) Click the green button for Full Screen mode.

2) Hide the Format bar by clicking the Format button

3) Zoom out by either (a) pinching on the trackpad or (b) repeatedly pressing Cmd+Shift+,

Result, on a 15" MacBook Pro:

Quite wide.
