Why does my phone call turn into a RTT call without any action on my part?

RTT/TTY is turned off in settings..

Neither my iPhone or my friend has RTT enabled but it shows up in our calls.. and only that particular number.. RTT is not enabled on both my friend and my phone, yet calls to only this person comes in that mode. I cannot disable or delete and neither of us are hearing impaired. Are our calls intercepted or being controlled by an external factor??

Have you contacted your carrier? Depending on your carrier, you might see RTT, TTY, or RTT/TTY.
