ios 15.0.1 certificate profiles

How does one add a locally trusted root certificate in iOS 15.0.1?

I can download it from an email message, and the dialog box then says "Profile downloaded: review the profile in Settings app if you want to install it." However, There is no Profiles in General settings on my copy of 15.0.1, as there was on iOS 14. A search for "profile" or "profiles" turns up nothing except for "Health".

It’s under Settings/General/VPN & Device Management.

I’m hoping this is for a company enterprise app. If it is for a 3rd party app that you can’t get from the app store most likely you are installing spyware on your phone.

Thank you, it is indeed. It also appeared -- oddly, some minutes after I saved it -- at the top level of Settings, as "Profiles downloaded".

Documentation from Apple appears to still be wrong about this and needs updating for 15.0.1.

It is a CA certificate that I control, and I'm well aware of the implications.

Thanks again.
