Some Apps not working on IPhone 13 Pro max

Hi all,

I have just upgraded to iPhone 13 pro max. I have transferred all my data and apps from iPhone X. However, I am having trouble with using three apps, YouTube, YouTube Music and WhatsApp. Every time I try to open these apps I get a message on the apps asking me to check my internet connection as for some reason they can’t seem to connect to internet despite already being connected to both, 5G and wifi so I certainly do have internet connection.

I have tried many things including; switching between 5G and wifi to launch the apps, turning the plane mode on and off, restarting the phone, removing and re downloading the apps but so far none has been successful! Every other app works fine and I am perfectly connected to internet. Only those three apps seem to think I have no internet connection. Seems like some sort of a bug.

I have also updated my phone’s software after transferring my old data.

Thanks heaps in advance.

I am having this too...it says I have no internet connection and I am on 5G and WiFi. I get this message with all Amazon products, Facebook, YouTube and literally dozens of other programs.

Hello enver129,

It appears from your post that your are having an issue with certain apps on your iPhone.

If you have not already, we would suggest that you update to the latest iOS, which would be iOS 15.0.2. You can see what it includes here: About iOS 15 Updates - Apple Support

Just as a reminder, here are the different ways available to update iOS: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

Be sure to follow the instructions on how to make a backup of your data before updating.

Cheers.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Bought a new iPhone 13 Pro Max --> moving from an iPhone XS Max --> Whatsapp says that I do not have connectivity although everything else is working both on wi-fi and on mobile data (5G).

What seems to be the issue here? Tried all the steps to reset network settings, airplane mode on/off, resetting the phone, etc.

I had the same problem. After a chat on messenger with Apple Support they gave me a call back. He had to consult his supervisor but they decided the problem was a software bug introduced when transferring data from the iPhoneX to the iPhone13 by Quick Start and iCloud. He talked me through how to reset to factory settings through the laptop ( not just from the phone) He then said to set up the phone from new, not from iCloud. I have done this, then downloaded the Apps that were saying " No internet connection" in my case Youtube, mobile bank App, messages and a few others. All working really well now and the phone is very fast. Hope this helps.

When the phone restarted I didn't choose Quick Start but clicked 'Set up Manually'. I'd previously backed everything up to ICloud. I then followed all the instructions to set it up. The downside is that I had to download Apps separately from iCloud afterwards, but my photos appeared automatically. The supervisor I spoke to said that if I used Quick Start again, it could download the same bug and not solve the problem.
