Auto payment

Hi! I have an app called ‘my book’ and i have to pay for its usage some money per each month. However this month I decided to stop using the app and it seems I was successful at stopping the auto payment function in iTunes. Unfortunately, I was still charged this monthly payment and I don’t know why. Could you please assist me in stopping this auto payment thing forever please?
