Welcome to Apple Support communities. We understand you're asking how to look up definitions of words in the Books app on your iPhone.

While reading a book in the Books app, tap and hold on a single word. You should see a menu pop up. Choose "Look Up". That will bring up dictionary definitions of the word you've just highlighted.
