My iPhone is only one day old and I noticed heavy battery drain. No matter what I do. It is only giving me barely half day battery life with minimal use no heavy task. I have tried all tricks available on internet like background refresh, locations off, Auto download etc

I suggest that you might try a restart of the device and a Forced Restart might help...
