MMS stopped working on iPad

My messages simply stopped working on my iPad. I upgraded to iPhone 13 pro and I cannot send or receive messages/pictures on my iPad Pro. I alway do updates and updated to 15.0.2 last night. I have tried all suggestions in this forum but nothing work. I realize the may be outdated but thought I would give it a try. Anyone else have this problem. Can someone please help me.

I get that but even after following all the steps mentioned in this post, I still get the message - MMS needs to be enabled to send this message. This issue started when I updated to iPadOS 15. There used to be a button in settings>messages where you could enable MMS and that’s now gone.

If you have an iPhone - and both iPad and iPhone are signed-in to iCloud with the same AppleID, to send SMS/MMS messages from your iPad you must explicitly enable Text Message Forwarding and MMS for your iPad on your iPhone...

On your iPhone:

Settings > Messages >

  • Text Message Forwarding - set to ON - and explicitly enable your iPad from the list of devices.
  • [SMS/MMS] MMS Messaging - set to ON

Also ensure that Messages in iCloud is enabled on both your iPhone and iPad:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > Messages - set to ON

You’ll need to seek assistance from Apple Support.

You can contact the Support Team using the Get Support link at top-right of this page. Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

MMS started working again. It’s been several weeks and suddenly started working again this past week. Not sure when it actually started since I had stopped trying. You may want to reach out to your carrier and explain the situation. Specifically tell them Apple says this is a carrier issue. That was the last thing I did before I stopped trying to get this resolved. T-Mobile never contacted me or followed up after my last call to them but it’s working now.
