iphone 13 connect to car

Bluetooth connection with iPhone 8 using IOS 15 is no problem. iPhone 13 will not connect or even allow bluetooth to show as an option. How do I fix this? Car is a 2015 Honda CRV.

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15

I just had great luck (which actually shocked me) doing this which is from my 2015 CRV owners guide.

  1. Press PHONE to go to the Phone screen. If a prompt appears asking to connect to a phone, SELECT NO.
  2. SELECT phone Set Up.
  3. Select Connection.
  4. Select Add a New Phone.
  5. Select an empty location for the phone.
  6. Make sure your phone is in discovery mode on Blue Tooth. Select OK.
  7. Hands Free Link searches for your phone. Select it when it appears on the list.

If your phone does not appear:

Select Phone Not Found and search for Hands Free Link from your phone. Connect to Hands Free Link.

8. Hands Free Link gives you a four digit code. Enter it on your phone when completed.

My phone started talking to me somewhere around #7 and prompted me to do what the book was telling me. I about fell over when it worked. 🤣🤣

I just purchased the iPhone 13, same here, it will not connect to my Honda CR-V 2014.

contacted Apple who in turn contacted Honda, after spending close to 1 hour in a 3 way conversation, they concluded that it is not compatible. I’m returning the phone.

Question to ask Apple before purchasing a phone, should be to find out whether it is compatible with your car or not. Who would have thought!!!!!

very annoying and disappointing!

As well as checking for a firmware update for your Honda, we also suggest checking for an iOS update for your iPhone. The latest iOS version to date is 15.0.2. If an update is available, we strongly recommend making sure you have a back up to iCloud or to a computer.
