Hi there hristo22,

We'd like to rule out some possible causes as to what may be causing your Android device from connecting to your iPhone Personal Hotspot, along with confirming more details to better understand what's happening:

  1. Are other devices still able to connect to your iPhone Personal Hotspot?
  2. Besides connecting your car stereo to your iPhone Personal Hotspot, are you attempting to do something else with your iPhone regarding your car stereo at the same time? For example: connecting with a cable, pairing with Bluetooth, etc.
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
  4. We understand that you updated to iOS 16, but the latest version is iOS 16.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.
  5. We also recommend checking for a carrier settings update as Personal Hotspot is a carrier feature: Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!

Greetings hristo22,

Thanks for updating us with that information.

To be certain we're on the same page as you, have you confirmed that Bluetooth is connecting and working with the stereo in your car? If you need to set up a fresh connection since the latest update, we'll include the steps below for easier access. You can also check out additional details for connecting with your car, here: How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car - Apple Support

Connect using Bluetooth

1. Restart your device.

2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn off Bluetooth. Wait for about 5 seconds, then turn Bluetooth back on.

3. Check the manual that came with your car for more information on how to pair with a Bluetooth device. Most cars require a phone setup on the car display.

4. If you've connected multiple phones to your car stereo, try renaming your device: Go to Settings > General > About > Name, and type a new name. Then try connecting again.

5. Update your device.

6. Make sure that your stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information.

If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.

If you're still able to connect with Bluetooth, check if there may be a firmware update available on the stereo that you're using. Let us know what you find, and we'll work with you from there.

Have a great day!
