Restoring Mac Mini 2020 (M1) with Apple Configurator fails

Dear Apple Community,

My Mac mini perfectly works but I cannot do any software update since a few months and I cannot factory reset it.

It tells me to go to support.apple.com/mac/restore.

Here it tells me to do it with Apple Configurator 2. I tried all the steps but it cannot restore my device.

Here is the error message.

The System cannot be restored on this device.

Failed to create new state machine for restore

[com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore - 0xFB1 (4017)]

I am thankful for any advice.

Mac mini, macOS 11.2

First, did you try to just do a Revive first?

Also, what Mac and what version of macOS is on the machine using Configurator 2? Is it running macOS 10.15.6 or later?

Do you have the proper cabling between the Macs?

MacBook Pro 15' from 2018 with macOS 11.5.2

Do you have the proper cabling between the Macs?

I connected with the USB C charger cable
