Number of notifications now appearing on lock screen IOS 15

Hello, I apologize if this seems like an easy fix but I just updated to the latest versions of IOS 15 and when I receive notifications on my lock screen they still stack but don't show me how many are stacked. Previously when I had 3 messages from the same person it would have the number of texts that were sent whereas now it just says the person's name even if they sent me more than one text. Let me know if there's a way to fix this in settings or if this is just no longer a thing with the new update. Thanks!
