Dust inside rear camera (telephoto) of the iPhone 13 Pro Max
After a week of getting the new iPhone 13 pro max I realised there is a white spec of dust inside the telephoto lense.

I have the same problem, took it to an Apple store and they said it’s a common occurrence. The phone is dust RESISTANT, not dust proof. If you take it to the Apple store, depending on who you speak to, they’ll either replace your back housing or they’ll tell you it wont cause you any issues and send you on your way
You can totally reject the phone within 14 days (most countries) and re-order. There should be no dust particles .
It may never have happened to you, but it seems to happen to more people than not. No, it shouldn’t be there, but as the phones are only dust resistant, it can be expected. The thing with iPhones is, if you look for a problem you’ll find one. Most people likely have dust in their cameras, but because it’s not affecting photos and they’re not examining the camera unit, they don’t notice. If you have noticed it, take it to the Apple store. Depending on who you speak to, they’ll either help you out or tell you it’s fine
Apple don't fix cameras. If they refuse to replace it you can reject it completely within the 14 days (30 days UK, excludes India) and re-order.

The 14 day rejection period (ie "take it back I hate it") applies to sales from Apple.com USA.
Look at your network provider terms and conditions of dale if they have the same option.
In UK and Europe it applies to all retailers if there is a fault.

I bought two iPhone 13 pros (one for my mum also) and they both have a white spec in their camera lenses in differing places. Maybe not dust but some sort of debris.
Either I’m super unlucky or Apple have a quality control issue. My brothers iPhone 13 pro max is fine
Very rare. Are you sure it is dust by taking it to store before posting here?
Yep mine too arghh. Not happy!! Had this issue with the iPhone 8’s, took two replacements as the first replacement also had dust
Sorry this is just my opinion but when you pay over 1000 bucks for a phone you want it to be perfect!
PS the 14 days does not apply to countries like India by local law, and in European countries it can be 30 or more..
I am familiar with the semantics but it never happened to me and certainly not expected in the first 7 days.
And I have carried iphones in my pants pocket for years. A piece of dust you can see has no place in a new phone.
So I just got my 13 pro max 3 days ago and noticed a couple white specs like dust that you guys are talking about. If I take it to the store will they fix it or replace it ? What did you guys do about it ?
